Ianthe had quite a happy childhood. She has two older siblings, a brother and a sister. Being the youngest, she'd always been a little spoiled among the royal children. Her father, the king to a small, but powerful kingdom wasn't an affectionate man by any means, but he took care of his people, and his family.

She was always a bit too bookish, a bit too wild, a bit too much. At least according to her tutors.

After marrying a neighboring prince, Ianthe only had a few weeks of being a princess, before the king's untimely passing. Her new husband became king, and she became queen. And they hardly knew each other.

The couple manage their affairs separatedly and if communication is needed, they correspond, with him ruling his kingdom from the political capital, and Ianthe holding court in the economic one.
